Nik led research and development efforts with experiments to build high availability and scalable web services deployed in Azure. Primary among these were prototypes of server-side speech recognition and text-to-speech services that backed the on-line training products. Many technical challenges were overcome, esp. Azure cloud-based server-side hosting of the libraries for MS Voice and EduSpeak.
